Takeaway

Wow. Writing all that made me feel a little conceited because I am taking note and publicizing my accomplishments. But then I realized that I have worked hard to get where I am with this blog. I love the blogosphere and what it has to offer because it offered me a safe and loving community when I needed it most. I think those who have consistently been there with me on my journey with this blog, and well frankly, through my life journey can appreciate the time and effort that has been put into Precarious Aquarius to make it as successful as it has been so far.

But the true thanks goes to YOU. Yes, YOU. I may not know your name, but I sure as hell recognize your avatar and username when you pop up in my comments. There is not one blog I don’t look at when they like or comment on any one of my posts. I care about you all. I love you all and thank you for reading, liking, commenting, sharing, subscribing to my blog. It’s not even my blog. Well, yes I write the content which is 100% true by the way (can’t make some of this shit up lol), but without you all reading it, there is no blog. There would be no point and way to improve myself and evolve and heal.

Journaling on a public platform like this is like the best and cheapest therapy that I can get and afford. I may not know what I am doing 99% of the time, but I have you all to lean on when I am low and you all help lower me down when I am too high. I am so thankful for the sense of community that has been created and we bond over mental illness, religion, addictions, etc. in the comments and through email.

I do mean it when I say that I am just an email or comment away. If you or someone you know is struggling with anything, I am a safe and empathetic person to talk to. Like I said, I care about each and every one of you and I thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for supporting me and my writing dreams and goals. I never imagined I would ever have 50 followers, let alone 250 followers. I am truly humbled at the support and love I have received and continue to receive. THANK YOU ❤

Run Down

Yesterday was a great reset day. I didn’t have work because of my work predicament with not being able to complete training in my unit so it was not safe for me to continue working there. I am in the process of being internally transferred to a different position within the agency, but I am not sure what or where because they can’t lower my pay, and I don’t have the education to do a lot of the work in the agency just yet. So I woke up around 9:30am and I decided that I would take the $200 in cash I had for my trip to Oregon that suddenly was cancelled and decided to shop locally with it.

I went downstairs and asked if my mom wanted to go to Goodwill with me. She said no but she would go with me to Kohl’s in the mall. Her mental health hasn’t been the best so I would say yes to just about anything if it meant we could spend time together and she got out of the house for once.

We got ready for the day and drove to her favorite coffee stand so she could get her sugar free watermelon, sugar free red bull spritzer. I decided to get a hot white chocolate mocha. Usually that coffee place is super good but our drinks were subpar and I am not sure how that happens because those are fairly simple drinks. But I digress.

Mom said she would only go into Kohl’s with me, but any store after that, she wanted to wait in the car. Well I ended up finding my mom a cute blouse and I somehow spent $200 on clothes alone, no socks or shoes or undergarments, no nothing. But I am very happy because most of the things I got came from the clearance rack and I got two name brand full on outfits, one being a lavender Nike crewneck sweatshirt and matching lavender shorts and I got some awesome black Under Armor sweatpants with the cuffs at the ankles for short people like me and ya’ll… THEY CAME WITH DEEP POCKETS AND WERE ACTUALLY IN THE WOMEN’S SECTION AND THEY WEREN’T TOO LONG. This never happens so as expensive as they were, I got them.

Near the end my mom was getting agitated so I paid for our items and we left and went home. After I dropped my mom off at home, I went back out to the grocery store for a few items. I saw Diego and saw his new tattoo and it looked good and the shading and lines are clean. It looked very painful though because he was walking all day and I think his jeans irritated his new ink.

I chilled after unloading and putting groceries away. My dad was going to grill some chicken and make fries and tater tots. I don’t favor chicken in the slightest and my kale was about to go bad so I made my Zuppa Toscana mock Olive Garden soup. It has spicy sausage, kale, and potatoes for the base. I used chicken broth and heavy whipping cream with minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Oh! And onions. Usually I put in peppered bacon, but I was lazy and didn’t want to cut any up. I also fried some Brussel sprouts in butter, garlic, salt, and pepper. They were good but could have been in the pan a little longer so that they were softer. Other than that, no complaints.

My dad was mad that my mom got full on soup and Brussel sprouts because his chicken was done 15 minutes later and we were already full and done eating. Oh well.

I decided that I will not be getting my tattoo next Sunday because frankly I can’t afford it with missing nearly a week of work with this whole work incident ordeal. So I paid all my bills through the end of November minus half of my car payment which isn’t due til November 15th and my whole loan payment which is smaller than the partial car payment and that is due November 27th. So I will have at least one pay day before my car is due and two pay days before the loan is due. Everything else has due dates in December. AND I put a little into my savings. AND Christmas is paid for! All I need to do is get my mom’s birthday present off of Amazon and her birthday is early December. Otherwise I am good!

Once my paychecks get back on track after missing work because of my knee and foot injury, I can start saving and paying my credit cards off. December is a golden month for me, meaning that there is 3 paychecks in the month of December because pay day is every other Friday. So between now and December 3rd, I gotta start thinking about how I should spend my “golden” or extra paycheck. I guess it depends on how much I will be making and how many hours I will be working in my new position. So we shall see.

Announcements!

Starting November 1st, I will be posting a content schedule with which days of the week I will be posting on and will probably post at a certain time of day that is to be determined. I will start posting more mental health dominate posts rather than my ramblings of my days and my emotions. Don’t worry, if you like those, they aren’t leaving or going anywhere! My random ramblings will just have a structured day and time for those to happen at.

I would give you the content schedule now but frankly I don’t have one in mind quite yet. Not to mention the fact that there is still a week left in Blogtober and I am ready to get through this so I can work on the next phase here at Precarious Aquarius.

If you have any content ideas for the blog or any ideas, thoughts, or comments whether it be about this announcement, about the blog hitting 250 followers or anything at all, drop a comment below or email me at theprecariousaquarius@gmail.com.

Much love to you all and thanks,

Dani

Congratulations Dani! I’ve been reading your posts for some time now. I know there was one comment I made a while ago, that kind of ticked you off a bit, and not without due cause, but as sometimes is the case, I commented without being aware of all of the factors. Since that time, I have learned a lot more about you and the realities you have to deal with.

Your persistence and achievements, in spite of these realities, are indeed noteworthy, and this blog being just one of them. Sometimes older folks, which would be me, tend to forget some of our own choices that we made when we were younger. I just wanted to thank you for your openness and honesty and congratulate you for following through, which is just one of your strong and commendable traits. Well done! Always remember that God our Father, through the person of His Son Jesus, is indeed the Good Shepherd and able to do much more than we can think, if we but trust in Him. Keep Him as your compass and you will achieve even more than you can imagine.

God’s grace, peace and blessings to you and yours Dani. Love in Christ – Bruce

    1. Thank you, Bruce for your kind words. I do remember being ticked off about your comment, but my memory fails me about what it was. Thank you for acknowledging that you were not aware of all the factors. As open as I am, I need to be more open to critiques of my lifestyle. You always have good intentions with your comments and I do always look forward to hearing what you have to say as you shine God’s light. I am not perfect by any stretch of the imagination and I realize I have a lot of growing up to still do. I would like to believe I have come a long way and I am less reckless since even the beginning of 2021. God is good and may He guide you as well through your Earthly journey. Much love and kindness to you, Bruce. -Dani
