If not for my glasses…

My night went from pleasant to shitty quite quickly…. I was getting ready for bed when I remind myself to take my medication for my bipolar disorder. Now if you know me or have been reading my blog for literally any length of time, you know that med time will be the death of me. You will also know by reading my blog that I have a lot of GI issues which leads to seemingly unnecessary vomiting.

Now. I have a pretty good gag reflex, but my pills smell and taste vile so if I swallow them wrong or they don’t go down the first time, I get a warning gag. I will gag but not get sick one time, but if it happens again, I better find somewhere fast to get sick in.

Because I take so many different medications, I take two at a time. Today I had eight pills to take divided by 4 individual times that I swallow them two at a time. First four go down, but I could tell I was beginning to feel nauseous. I leave the bigger horse pills for last and I got the warning gag reflex for the 3rd set of pills. I try to tough it out and finish them off and next thing I knew, I was throwing off my glasses and ran to the bathroom.

But during this endeavor, I managed to get vomit particles in both of my eye ball holes and my eyes started to swell shut. Had I been wearing my glasses, they may have gotten gross, but now I am probably going to get conjunctivitis (pink eye) in the morning. I tried a hot shower to get the steam of the water to help my eyes, but they are still in pain and irritated.

I am having trouble seeing what I am typing right now because my vision is blurred. But if I didn’t take my meds, this wouldn’t have happened! Who knew how bad meds really could be?!

Let me know if I am the only one who experiences weird shit like this or if you have your own story to share in the comments below.

Much love,
