Blogtober Post #7-9

I knew I would mess up sometime and forget to post. Oops. I believe it was the 7th day where I outright kept thinking it was October 6th, thought that I already posted for the day and just didn’t post again until… now. Yesterday I was just in so much abdominal, pelvic, and flank pain that I was laying on my heater blanket in tears, doing all my methods for pain relief, with no luck.

Today, I had an appointment scheduled with my PCP who also prescribes my psych meds for my schizoaffective. I told her that I was in the ER (3) different times this past month for what I thought was simply a UTI originally. By the third visit, the ER doc referred me to OBGYN for endometriosis.

I relayed this info to the doc and she took one look at my urinalysis results and she stated that no I originally did have a urinary tract infection but now it’s moved into my kidneys for a kidney infection. All the symptoms went along with this new diagnosis. The vomiting and nausea, the intermittent low grade fevers. So I got a prescription for the antibiotic ciproflaxin and hopefully this should be a lot stronger and actually work compared to the Macrobid that the hospital docs gave me.

I am thankful that I don’t have the diagnosis of endometriosis; that sounded miserable. I mean, I feel pretty miserable right now with the kidney infection, but in good news: this is TEMPORARY.

I was going to get my car’s oil changed this afternoon but I felt too crappy to sit at a dealership and be bothered by salesmen so I just cancelled it and will have to go another time.

I have some projects I want to start working on but only once I start to feel better because I am in agony. I just wanted to jot some words down so y’all know I didn’t forget about you or this challenge to write everyday of October.

Much love,

Dani
